Swiss Post has announced that it will discontinue its platform for the electronic patient record (EPR) by the end of 2026 and dissolve the reference community Post Sanela Health AG. Around 70,000 patients are affected. At the same time, the new electronic health record (EHR) is still going through the parliamentary process. Until its introduction, operation of the current EPR must remain guaranteed.

Open questions for the Federal Council

The question asks the Federal Council for information on data migration to the new reference community Cara/BINT, on access rights, costs, informing those affected, and on ensuring access during the transition phase.
