Federal Supreme Court corrects allocation of costs: Vaud instead of Geneva

Background

In judgment 7B_118/2026 of 16 June 2026, the Federal Supreme Court (Second Criminal Law Division) partially upheld the appeal insofar as it was admissible. In paragraph 3 of the operative part, the appellant’s legal representative was awarded party compensation of 1'500 francs payable by the canton of Geneva. This allocation contained a drafting error, as the original decision of 11 December 2025 had been issued by the Compulsory Measures Court of the canton of Vaud.

Rectification

In judgment 7G_2/2026 of 1 October 2026, the Federal Supreme Court corrects paragraph 3 of the operative part of 7B_118/2026. The party compensation of 1'500 francs awarded to the appellant’s legal representative is payable by the canton of Vaud. The Court notes that the original decision came from an authority of the canton of Vaud. The rectification proceedings are conducted without court costs or party compensation.
