Federal Council adopts clarifications to sanctions ordinances
The Federal Council is harmonising and clarifying financial rules in four sanctions ordinances to implement UN sanctions relating to terrorist financing and proliferation financing. It decided this on 25 September 2026. In addition, international organisations will henceforth benefit from an exemption from the reporting and authorisation requirements for certain transactions under the Iran Ordinance.
