In its assessment, the committee thus follows the practice it established in the Glarner (24.195) and Michel (25.191) immunity cases regarding the use of social media by members of parliament.

In this respect too, the committee reaffirms its practice established in earlier cases (e.g. the Brunner [13.190], Chiesa [24.191], Glarner [24.195] and Michel [25.191] cases).

The competent committee of the Council of States, the Legal Affairs Committee (LAC-S), is expected to examine the request from the Zofingen-Kulm public prosecutor’s office in the first quarter of 2027.
