OECD analysis of Switzerland’s economic policy: Switzerland is well positioned – reforms needed to safeguard competitiveness
The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) published its report on Switzerland’s economic policy on 15 September 2026. In it, it recognises the merits of Switzerland’s economic policy course. In view of a wide range of challenges, however, it also identifies a need for action to safeguard Switzerland’s competitiveness and innovative capacity in the long term. This includes further reforms in the healthcare system and old-age provision, a lower administrative burden on companies, better use of the labour force potential, and strengthening competition.
