Parliamentary matter 26.7759: VTS revision: National small series also for lorries, buses and trailers
For passenger cars and light delivery vans, Switzerland recognises EU small-series approvals; not so for lorries, buses and trailers: the number is zero as long as the European Commission has not set requirements and a maximum number. Swiss bodywork, trailer and special vehicle manufacturers therefore bear the same evidentiary burden as mass-production manufacturers. EU law permits a national small series (250 vehicles per type and year). Is the Federal Council prepared to introduce this in the VTS revision?
