Updated sanctions notification: Republic of Iraq

The State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) has published an amendment to the annex to the Ordinance of 7 August 1990 on Economic Measures against the Republic of Iraq (SR 946.206).

By a decision dated 5 October 2026, the UN Security Council amended the list of sanctioned individuals, companies and organisations. The amendment is directly applicable in Switzerland. SECO has therefore updated the SESAM (SECO Sanctions Management) sanctions database authoritative for Switzerland and published the amendment on its website on 7 October 2026.
