26.7731 – Art. 37a EpA – Comirnaty: Possible BSE/prion risk with Process 2
In Switzerland, only Comirnaty batches from the commercial manufacturing process Process 2 were used. Materials of animal origin were also used in manufacturing. - Can the Federal Council, on the basis of specific investigations, rule out that BSE agents or other prions could have entered the product and could trigger the fatal variant of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (vCJD)? - Was this evidence available before the first use in Switzerland?
