Questions to the Federal Council
Interpellation 26.4092 asks whether the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM) and the Federal Administrative Court (FAC) have analysed the consequences of the growing use of generative artificial intelligence in asylum procedures. It asks about identified risks and opportunities.
Use and coordination
The interpellation further asks whether the SEM and the FAC already use instruments based on artificial intelligence or plan to introduce them. It also addresses a strategy or coordination between the federal authorities involved for the introduction and use of such instruments.
Human decision
Finally, the interpellation asks how it is ensured that artificial intelligence remains a supporting instrument and that the assessment of the facts and the final decision remain entirely under human control.
