Switzerland is strengthening its international cooperation in the field of defence: armasuisse is participating in the European Defence Agency (EDA) research project «Fuel Cells for Soldier Systems II» (FUSS II; «Fuel Cells for Soldier Systems II»). On 3 September 2026, all participating parties signed the project agreement. The project develops portable fuel cells for deployments by members of the armed forces and for other mobile applications. This strengthens Switzerland’s European cooperation in research and technology.
