The current EIA checklist for wind energy installations of the Conference of Environmental Agencies (KVU) states that the assessment criterion for impacts on birds will be reworked by the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN) and the Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE), involving the cantons, and is expected to be available by the beginning of 2024, as the threshold of 10 collision fatalities is not scientifically substantiated. Why has this assessment criterion still not been developed to date? When can it be expected?
