According to Federal Councillor Rösti (information event on Nördlich Lägern on 8 September), a new procedure for the deep geological repository is required for the additional waste from a new nuclear power plant. At the same time, the Nuclear Energy Act already requires a demonstration of waste disposal for the general licence for a nuclear power plant. How is this demonstration to be provided for a new nuclear power plant if the necessary additional storage capacity at Nördlich Lägern has not yet been authorised at the time of the general licence?
