26.7693 – Why are balcony solar power systems being hindered in Switzerland?

In Germany, Austria, France and Italy, plug-in balcony solar power systems up to 800 W are permitted, but in Switzerland only up to 600 W. How does the Federal Council justify preventing Swiss residents from making this small, sensible contribution to security of supply and the energy transition, which is affordable for many and can be amortised quickly? Is it planned to align with neighbouring countries here?
