26.7730 – Art. 37a Epidemics Act – Comirnaty: Potential prion risk from modified mRNA
Comirnaty contains modified and codon-optimised mRNA (modRNA) so that the body produces especially large amounts of spike protein. Before authorisation, was it investigated whether these changes could also lead to the formation of unwanted proteins or to misfolding and thereby promote the fatal Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease? Based on concrete investigations, can the Federal Council rule out that such a disease is triggered as a result?
