Accordingly, the Federal Supreme Court rules: 1. Cases 6B_900/2025 and 6B_901/2025 are joined. 2. The appeal in case 6B_900/2025 is partially upheld and the case is remanded for a reallocation of the costs of the appellate proceedings. For the remainder, the appeal is dismissed. 3. The appeal in case 6B_901/2025 is dismissed. 4. The appellant bears the costs of case 6B_900/2025 in the amount of Fr. 1'500.--. 5. No court costs are levied in case 6B_901/2025. 6. The Canton of Zurich shall compensate the appellant in the amount of Fr. 2'000.-- for case 6B_900/2025.
