In a speech at the Day of the Economy, President of the Swiss Confederation Guy Parmelin explains that the Federal Council intends to secure access to international markets, stabilise relations with the EU and the United States, and reduce regulatory costs. He refers, among other things, to free trade agreements, 60 relief measures and the use of the public authority platform EasyGov by more than 180'000 companies.

Market access

The Federal Council presents the expansion of free trade agreements as a means of market access, legal certainty and competitive conditions.

Relations with the EU and the United States

The Federal Council intends to stabilise and further develop relations with the EU and is committed to stable and predictable relations with the United States.

Regulation and public authority services

The Federal Council refers to 60 relief measures, the annual review of areas where costs can be reduced, and more than 180'000 companies using EasyGov.
