Reasons for withdrawing plant protection products: When will the Federal Council finally ensure transparency at last?
In June, in response to my question 26.7596, the Federal Council replied that it was being examined whether, in the specialist applications, «ob in den Fachanwendungen in Zukunft auch die Gründe für den Rückzug [eines Pflanzenschutzmittels] erfasst werden können» (translation: whether the reasons for the withdrawal [of a plant protection product] can also be recorded in the specialist applications in future). - What speaks against this transparency in the area of pesticides? - When can the result of the review and possible recording be expected? - How many pesticides have been authorised for use again in the last 5 years by means of emergency authorisations – despite their previous withdrawal?
