Rising temperatures place a burden on people; vulnerable people in particular are especially affected and require special attention and care during heatwaves. Nursing staff also face a challenging situation: they must take on and perform physically demanding care work even in great heat. Therefore, this work performed in great heat must be compensated additionally. The current tariff provides no way of accounting for this; the Federal Council must therefore create the legal basis so that the tariff partners can develop a corresponding differentiated tariff.
