No violation of equality of opportunity can be discerned in the contested decision. The examination format is the same for all candidates; all receive the same tasks, from which they may choose one; and the examinations are conducted in the same way for all. Likewise, all essays are checked by two persons, who follow the same central marking guidelines and general instructions, and all provisional essay assessments are adjusted to the prescribed grade average, which in turn is the same for all schools in the canton.

The complaint of a violation of equality of opportunity is therefore unfounded.
