Opening of the consultation on the revision of ordinances in the energy sector
On 14 September 2026, the Federal Department of the Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications (DETEC) opened the consultation procedure on partial revisions of various ordinances in the energy sector. This concerns, among other things, EU requirements on the energy and resource efficiency of electrical appliances and provisions on the sliding market premium for hydropower plants. The consultation procedure ends on 18 December 2026. The amendments are due to enter into force on 1 July 2027.
