The Act creates the basis for possible financial support by the Confederation for future national exhibitions. […] However, under the transitional provision, the Federal Council may apply for such a decision no earlier than 2035, which would make a national exhibition co-financed by the Confederation possible from the 2040s. In view of current expenditure-policy priorities, the Federal Council is refraining from co-financing in the 2030s.
