2. Does the Confederation have data or knowledge on the actual room temperatures in hospital rooms, care homes and medical practices during periods of heat? If not: does the Federal Council see a need for a systematic survey, possibly in cooperation with the cantons, H+ The Hospitals of Switzerland, Curaviva or other professional associations?

3. To what extent and in which cantons have binding structural or operational measures to protect against heat in healthcare facilities already been taken, to the Federal Council’s knowledge (e.g. cooling systems, shading, night-time cooling, mandatory air conditioning for certain departments such as intensive care units, neonatology or dementia units)?

4. Does the Federal Council acknowledge that elevated indoor temperatures in hospitals and care homes can demonstrably adversely affect recovery, the effect and storage of medicines, and the overall risk of death among vulnerable patient groups?
