Study on the costs of climate change: why did the Federal Council postpone publication of the study results?
A study conducted as part of the “NCCS-Impacts” programme is intended to determine and compare the costs of climate change in 2060 on the basis of three different climate scenarios (RCP2.6, RCP4.5, RCP8.5). Publication of this study – originally announced for the end of 2025 – was scheduled for 10 September 2026, but was then postponed to a later date. For what reasons was publication of this study postponed? When will the study be published?
